Before you set out

Prerequisites#

  • Reach Island 2 and find the woman who gives the Leech request.
  • Continue her dialogue until the quest counter visibly reads 0/3.
  • Keep enough inventory space for the quest reward and later boss trophy.

Survey 01

Where the three Leeches appear#

Treat the route as a ground scan, not a fishing search. The pickup models are small and can disappear into the grass at normal camera height.

  1. Quest-giver side of the island#

    Begin near the woman after the 0/3 counter appears and check the ground immediately around her approach.

    If the counter is absent, finish her dialogue before assuming anything spawned.

  2. Grassy settlement edge#

    Walk the usable grass beside the nearby structures with the camera aimed down and pause for the interaction prompt.

    Do not sprint the same center line; small pickups are easier to miss while moving quickly.

  3. Outer forest and perimeter paths#

    Complete one slow loop around the path and vegetation edge, checking behind visual clutter before returning to the NPC.

    Stop when the objective reaches 3/3; there is no need to find a fourth Leech.

Route 02

Turn the Leeches into Giant Piranha bait#

  1. Activate the 0/3 request#

    Talk to the Island 2 woman until her dialogue ends and confirm the Leech objective appears before starting the sweep.

  2. Pick up three ground prompts#

    Search the grass and outer paths with the camera lowered. Each successful pickup advances the visible quest counter.

  3. Return to the same NPC#

    Bring the counter to 3/3 and hand the Leeches back to the woman. She gives you the Modified Leech.

  4. Use the Modified Leech for the boss#

    Equip the quest reward as bait to trigger the Giant Piranha encounter, then keep its distinctive skeleton for the progression hand-in.

Fault ledger

If the Leeches do not spawn#

No Leech quest counter appears
Return to the woman and exhaust the full dialogue. Current route reports consistently place quest activation before the ground pickups.
The counter stops at 1/3 or 2/3
Complete one slow perimeter sweep with the camera down. If the pickup is still absent, protect the items already collected and reload the last save.
The NPC will not accept the hand-in
Confirm the objective actually reads 3/3 and that you returned to the original Island 2 quest giver.
The Giant Piranha does not appear
Verify the Modified Leech reward is equipped as the active bait; ordinary bait does not complete this boss trigger.
